RAF Seaking XZ589 on the River Mersey

Heres a few more pics of the RAF Seaking that took part in the Fire and Rescue excercise on the River Mersey today.

Sea King HAR3 [E] RAF No 22 Sqn, C Flt/No 203(R) Sqn, Valley.

Had to edit some images as i tried to get some blur on the rotor blades BUT this meant a very high aperture, this showed a lot of dust on my cameras sensor! not impressed.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue excersise 20th May

Merseyside fire and rescue held "Operation Manta" on the River Mersey today, it was a combined air/sea rescue excersise involving one of the MErsey Ferries, Snowdrop and an RAF Seaking from RAF Valley. A ferry evacuation was carried out after a simulated fire, the fast ribs and jestski`s were involved. The Helicopter winched people off the ferries rear deck. The tug Svitzer Stanlow was in attendance as a fire tug with her Monitors in action.

Was a very interesting hour!! ;-)
