The Royal Navies latest aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales left Liverpool on Friday after spending a week on the Pierhead!, Weather was 100% better than when she arrived ;-) there was a huge turnout of people along the prom for her leaving and a UK F35B did 2 flypasts!!!

Helicopter "ops" on HMS Prince of Wales R09 today at Liverpool
The helicopters that were embarked on the aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales left the vessel today. I missed the Lynx wildcat and the 2 Merlins but managed to "catch" the Chinook!!

HMS Prince of Wales at Liverpool
The Royal Navies 2nd Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales R09 has made her maiden call to Liverpool today, she will be at the Pierhead until the 6th March and is open to the public for 2 days over this coming weekend!! all the tickets have now gone.

Royal Navy QE class carrier flight deck sections on move
The 1st 5 sections of the flight deck for the new Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers were sailed out of the Cammel Lairds yard on the 28th May. They were loaded onto a large barge (AMT Challenger) and towed by Mersey based tugs out into Liverpool bay were the "tow" was handed over to a large tug for the transit to Scotland were the carriers are bieng assembled.
