River Mersey shipping 24th May 2016, Galilleo G into Cammel Lairds

Bit of a catch up, at the priory slip near Lairds for the arrival of the motor yacht Galilleo G! Also here is Jumbo Javelin out of Lairds having delivered another consignment of windfarm parts. Carribean Princess was on the CLT, Liverpool for the day.

River Mersey shipping 12/13th July 2010






A few quick visits to the Mersey this week. Preasident into the West float. Merseyside Maritime museums tug "Brocklebank" was on her way for Canning dock. The tanker Norodny Bridge arrived today (13th) for Tranmere, quite a small vessel compared to the usual tankers but she still took 2 Svitzer tugs for berthing.

Some movements from this afternoon. Spent an hour by the "Egg" bouy near Egremont. The tanker Hildegaard was on her way in for Tranmere. Others include, Vingatank, Arklow Rogue, Stolt Pelican, Attilio Ievoli (she went into Birkenhead). ACL Atlantic Compass was on her way out

River Mersey shipping 18th April





Oil tanker Kazan arrived for Tranmere today. Also on the river were Omegagas, Solway Fisher, Stolt Gannet.

Mersey shipping catch up!











Not many visits to the river last week or so for various reasons but heres a catch up from when i did go! Another VLCC tanker came in on the 10th Dec and sailed today (11th), Australis, nearly 160000GT!!!. A number of much smaller vessels on the go too, some into Birkenhead docks.
