Royal Navy frigate HMS Sutherland has paid a "suprise" visit to the Mersey today. She was previously involved in "hunting" an unidentified submarine off the Scottish coast over the past few weeks. she is apparently here till Sunday and will NOT be open to the public.

HMS Sutherland arrives on the Mersey
The Royal Navy frigate HMS Sutherland (F81) arrived on the River Mersey today for a 3 day visit. I dont think that she will be open to the public tho, previous RN visits have been open to the public.
HMS Sutherland is a type 23 Duke class frigate and is the 3rd RN vessel to bear the name.
