A catch up from past few weeks, inc Disney Magic at Liverpool

Yet another "new" camera! well new to me anyways, traded my Sony A200 kit in for a Panasonic Lumix FZ200 and have been very pleased with results so far.

As usual lots of Mersey movements, with at least one chem/product tanker now discharging in ALfred basin to the UM tanks nearby.

The Bulker Pride had to abort her lock in at Alfred lock, Birkenhead due to draught issues in the basin and she is now anchored at the Liverpool Bar presuming to await a "higher" high water

Pride, having aborted lock in about to sail out of the Mersey

Clipper round the world race finish at Liverpool 28th July 2018

After starting the round the world race in Liverpool in 2017 the yachts returned today to finish the race on the River Mersey.

Disney Magic maiden call at Liverpool today 27th May 2016

Disney cruise lines Disney Magic has made her maiden call at Liverpool today, arrived in the early hours which was a little strange BUT she is returning on the 12th June when there will be events at the Pierhead and a fireworks display send off. Not a bad looking vessel

Queen Mary 2 at Liverpool today

Cunards Queen Mary 2 is at the CLT Liverpool pierhead today. She arrived around 3am this morning and will be leaving around 5pm.

Marco Polo arrived early on Sunday morning and sailed mid afternoon.

Saga Pearl 2 arrived monday 16th, she sails at 23.00hrs tonight.

Mein Schiff 2 arrived on the River Mersey today for a day long visit, sailing out tonight around 22.00hrs

She is probably the last cruise ship to visit Liverpool this season

Bit late with this but i didnt get chance to catch the Arcadia at Liverpool last week. I belive it was the 1st visit by a P&O vessel for a very long time.

River Mersey shipping July 2011

Another little catch up for July, the Southport Airshow was brought forward to July this year and some of the aircraft involved were using Liverpool airport so they went up and down the Mersey on their way to the show, the Vulcan was on show on Saturday 23rd only but done a low fly by off the pierhead.
