HMS Prince of Wales R09 leaves Liverpool 6th March 2020

The Royal Navies latest aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales left Liverpool on Friday after spending a week on the Pierhead!, Weather was 100% better than when she arrived ;-) there was a huge turnout of people along the prom for her leaving and a UK F35B did 2 flypasts!!!

Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 leaving Liverpool

3 vessels from the  SNMCMG1 left Liverpool today, HNoMS Hinnøy remains at the Pierhead.

HDMS Thetis, HMS Cattistock and FGS Dillingen all sailed around 14.00hrs today (25th March)


All the ships are taking part in the large NATO maritime excercise Joint Warrior 19 in Scotland which starts at the end of the month

Quick dock trip to catch up with Brony`s condition, settled more but not rolled over, still no signs of any attempt to put her right?! but hey at least the anti-pollution booms are in place so the powers that be can sit back and say they done their part!!

HMS Liverpool leaving for the last time 5th March 2012

The type 42 (batch 2) destroyer HMS Liverpool left Liverpool for the last time this morning.

She gave a gun salute to Cammel Lairds and the pierhead as she sailed past heading into decomissioning ;-(

HMS Liverpool final visit to her home city 29th Feb 2012

The type 42 destroyer HMS Liverpool arrived at her namesake port today for a final visit for 5 days.

The cammel Lairds built vessel has been in service for 30years and will now be decomissioned

Her crew will enjoy the freedom of the city and the ship will be open to the public on saturday and sunday between 10am and 4pm..

She sails out on Monday morning
