VLCC tanker BW Bauhinia leaves Liverpool 17th Jan





After a quick turnaround at the Tranmere oil terminal the VLCC BW Bauhinia left the mersey this morning. Looking a little lighter in the water after discharging some 80000 tons of crude. She is no bound for Norway.

Large oil tanker BW Bauhinia arrives on the Mersey








The VLCC BW Bauhinia arrived this afternoon, very impressive vessel at nearly 160000 tons and carrying some 80000 tons of crude for Tranmere. Tugs Svitzer Stanlow and Milford were assisting. She is sailing out on Saturday 17th at aound 11.00AM

VLCC on its way to the Mersey

The VLCC (very large crude carrier) BW Bauhinia will be arriving on the river mersey this coming Friday (16th). She will be the largest gross tonnage vessel to use the river Mersey, she weighs 158569gt and will be carrying over 80.000 tns of crude to Tranmere. She beats the previous largest tonnage vessel "Nisa" by nearly 8000 tons, Nisa came in 1988.

She will be on the River Mersey between 14.00 and 15.00hrs, with no less than 4 tugs assisting.
If you miss her on the friday then you can catch her leaving at around 11.00hrs on Saturday 17th
