LCT "Landfall" sinks in Birkenhead docks

The last surving landing craft that took part in the D-Day landings is now sitting on the bottom of the East float docks in Birkenhead. The LCT Landfall had sat moored on the old wooden wharf for many years in an increasingly delapidated state. For some reason Peel ports/MDhc decided to move her to the other side of the wharf and it looks like this has done her more harm than good! was it deliberate?? It now looks like she will be scrapped.
