Not been down to the river for a few days so took a walk today, some movement, Caught the "lagan viking" leaving bound for Belfast and the P&O carrier "norbay" on its way to dublin. Also here is what turned out to be a rare site this year, the IOM steam packet "superseacat 2" on the mersey, this shot taken in october as she left liverpool. After a season dogged by bad weather and mechanical problems she is now laid up in liverpool docks, her service has been replaced by the "Ben macree"....

Old Egerton dock, birkenhead

Took a walk around the old egerton dock in birkenhead on friday morning. This dock has not been used for many years and is infact cut off from the rest of the dock system now, surrounded by buisiness centers and a college it serves as a place for water based sports etc with a jetty and launch ramps at one end. The bridge has been left in place and is used as part of the road access to the area, Fuji s5000, B&W conversion in PS elements....

Seascout Tanker leaves the mersey 5th nov 2007

Hi to anyone reading, not done this before but thought some might find it interesting to see whats frequenting the river mersey at the moment. Cant guarantee i can get there everyday but coupled with info from the ais liverpool website i can track and photo most ships and craft using the river.

Most pics will be a mixture of digital and film, quality is not always good as the weather can be very bad, especially the light. There will also be some pics from the lowflying areas in north wales
