The restored RAF Vulcan bomber XH558 flew down the river mersey today on her way back to Liverpool airport after displaying at the Southport airshow. Also seen was the Catalina flying boat and what i think is a Hawker Seahawk (camera was at max digital zoom so quality is crap)

Vulcan XH558 over the River Mersey

Coaster Eider at Alfred lockgates
The small coaster Eider entered Birkenhead docks this morning. A quite morning on the mersey really, the barge Panary was on her way to Liverpool docks.

VLCC Bunga Kasturi Empat leaves the Mersey 7th Sept
After a very short stay at the Tranmere oil terminal the Tanker Bunga Kasturi Empat left the Mersey this morning, now bound for Hound Point.

Another of the shedueled VLCC tankers arrived for Tranmere today, Bunga Kasturi Empat. Seemed quite high in the water so obviously not fully laden (300.000 tons). She is supposed to be sailing out tomorow (monday) around 09.00hrs

Stolt Avocet in birkenhead docks 3rd Sept
1st proper trip to the docks/river this morning now the kids are back in school ;-)
Chem carrier Stolt Avocet was on her way into Alfred lock, then went on upto the top end of the west float. Also here are Arklow Raider and the RFA fleet tanker Orangeleaf, she in Lairds for service along with RFA Dilligence in Bidston dry dock
