Smit tugs in Birkenhead

3 smit tugs working in Birkenhead docks today, they helped turn the roro ship "ropax2" at her berth for repainting. Caught all three awaiting the tide by the lock gates. "Liverpool" Trafalga" and "Waterloo"...

Superseacat 2

After a good few months laid up in liverpool docks, the IOM steam packets fast craft "superseacat2" now named "Viking" moved to the lairds yard on the mersey for repairs and upgrading for when she hopefully starts regular passenger runs to the island. This is a fantastic looking vessel, had just missed her passing seacombe and caught her as she was turning for dock entry

Birkenhead docks 25th

Quick visit today, work continues on the Ropax 2, small carrier offloading. RFA Fort Rosalie laid up awaiting work in the Lairds yard. Stena lynx 3 in the nsl yard undergoing work too....

Stormy river mersey 24th jan

High winds and a high tide brough some huge waves today, didnt stop the shipping tho with plenty of movements in and out.................Equine, solent fisher, Nariva, Mersey viking, Pembroke fisher, Clydenes plus some tugs going back into langton.

Mersey movements 23rd, Atlantic compass, mersey mariner

Took advantage of no rain to catch ACL Atlantic compass leaving, 2 small carriers inbound to eastham and stanlow? Dredger mersey mariner was out and about too...

Heres a good few pictures taken with 35mm film, Canon T90 and nikon F80, fuji 200 and 400 used. I Enjoy using film because i think it makes you think more about the shot, some of these are not perfect but i think rules are there for breaking ;-)
