Shipping on the River Mersey 1st April 2010
After a day of no sailings/movements at all on Wednesday because of the bad weather today more than made up for it!! The VLCC Onoba left Tranmere, 1 day later than planned. 2 vessels were due in for Birkenhead docks, Chem tankers were inbound for Eastham and the Royal Navy OPV (offshore patrol vessel) HMS Mersey turned up on the liner berth at the pierhead. for the most part the weather was very good, with some bright sunshine...................weird!! ;-)
