RFA Fort Victoria A387 leaving Merseyside 12-01-2020

Royal fleet Auxiliary vessel RFA Fort Victoria has finally left the Cammel Lairds yard today after undergoing extensive refit and modification work which spanned most of 2019, she will now take up her role as a support vessel for the new QE class carriers,bieng able to supply both fuel and dry stores

RFA Tidesurge arrives on the Mersey for planned maintainance at Cammel Lairds 10/01/2020

The 3rd vessel of the 4 new Tide class replenishment/tankers RFA Tidesurge arrived on Merseyside today, she has gone into the Cammel Lairds yard for her first maintainance period, following her sister vessels RFA Tidespring and RFA Tiderace.

RFA Fort Rosalie Was moved from Cammel Lairds wet basin and back into West float dock, Birkenhead while undergoing her service/refit, Turned out it was to make room for RFA Tidespring which arrived a few days later to undergo work/service under the newly signed FISS contract (fleet in service support)

RFA Wave Knight also left Cammel Lairds after her refit/service and went back into service after some "minor" propulsion issues

RFA Fort Victoria leaving Liverpool/river Mersey 26th October 2018

Royal Fleet Auxilliary vessel Fort Victoria left Cammel Lairds today after an extended stay at the yard undergoing a major refit, she has recieved various modifications including new "double hull" mods and improved cranes to enable her to service the new QE class carriers with both fuel and solid stores

RFA Fort Austin Back into Birkenhead docks 25th Feb 2016

After a short service period in Cammel Lairds the RFA Fort Austin was towed into Birkenhead docks today. 4 Smit tugs were on the job as the vessel was "deadship". She is now berthed at the top of West float,

RFA Fort Austin A386 on the move, Birkenhead 13th December 2015

RFA Fort Austin was moved from West float to Cammel Lairds today in far from ideal weather (for photos anyway), Smits tugs Zeebrugge, Waterloo and Sandon were on the job

Another RFA has gone into "layup" in Birkenhead docks, small fleet tanker Black Rover was moved from Cammel lairds to West float Birkenhead today having completed her refit/service in the yard, Smit tugs Sandon, Waterloo and Barbados were on the job

RFA fort Rosalie on the move today, 18th June 2015

The Royal Fleet Auxilliary vessel Fort Rosalie has been moved from her long term berth in East float, Birkenhead today and is on her way to Cammel Lairds!!. She was moved "dead-ship" by 4 Smit tugs into Alfred basin to await high water.

Her sister ship fort Austin MIGHT be on her way into Lairds for service and Rosalie may well take her place in service while she undegoes service/refit??
