RFA Fort George leaves Cammel Lairds






The RFA ship Fort George left the Cammel Lairds yard this morning bound for Liverpool docks prior to return to service, she has been in dock at Lairds for sometime undergoing work as part of the contract for service/refit of the RFA fleet. 4 smit tugs were in attandance as she was a "dead tow" meaning she was not under her own power.

HMS Bulwark and RFA Fort George, Mersey 9th May






Some large naval visitors today, Landing/Assault ship HMS Bulwark and the RFA (Royal fleet auxilliary) Fort George. Bulwark is now berthed at the pierhead and the RFA is now in the NSL yard (old cammel lairds). Conditions not too good, warm but overcast and misty.
