Shipping on the Mersey 6th April

A busy hour late today at the Aflred Lock entrance, Chem carrier Patriotic was on her way out and Ditzum was on her way in. Out in the river the tanker Alpha Brittania was on her way to the Tranmere terminal

Coaster Eider at Alfred lockgates

The small coaster Eider entered Birkenhead docks this morning. A quite morning on the mersey really, the barge Panary was on her way to Liverpool docks.

Mersey movements 2nd December

Gorgeous light today, bright winter sunshine and great visibilty. Seen today.....Keewhit, Sea Hawk, Sigas Duke, Mary C, Kiran Atlantic, Celtic Fortune. Hope the weather continues thru to the weekend as the RN frigate HMS Westminster is visiting Liverpool for 2 days from this coming saturday

Some small coasters in Birkenhead docks

A few small carriers are in Birkenhead docks at the moment, nice weather this morning for a few pics. Atiu and Arklow Rose are in East float and Luhnau is currently on the old Clan line berth in the West float. Atiu was due in a few days back but had engine problems, not sure if things are sorted?
