The Royal Navies type 45 destroyer HMS Dauntless has arrived at Cammel Lairds to undergo a propulsion upgrade program! She was assisted by tugs from Svitzer and Baluda Towage
The work will include the removal of 2 existing generators and replacing them with 3 new more powerful units....read more about it here...

HMS Dragon D35 leaving Liverpool 10th March 2014
HMS Dragon left Liverpool at 17.30hrs yesterday, tugs Svitzer Nari and Smit Zebrugge assisted her swing.

HMS Dragon D35 at Liverpool
HMS Dragon, one of the Royal Navies newest type45 destroyers is in Liverpool from today. Its a 4 day visit, sailing out around 17.00hrs on Monday 10th March

River Mersey movements this week
A few images from the river this week. Calmacs Isle of Lewis is seen here departing Cammel Lairds having undergone emergency repairwork on a defective rudder.
Mersey Ferries vessel Snowdrop seen here taking part in a large scale Fire and Rescue Excercise on the Mersey on the 6th March
Also this week, HMS Dragon will be arriving at Liverpool this Friday 7TH March for a 4 day visit (she will not be open to the public)
