Weather was the complete opposite to yesterday, back to the usual "mersey murk"

Plenty of "traffic" tho, bulkers on the move and chem tankers for Eastham. The 1960 built cement carrier Cementina was on her way in from Ireland.

River Mersey shipping 2nd Feb

A busy morning at the Alfred lock gates today, 2 vessels on their way in. 3 vessels already in, the coaster Gala and BBC Ontario were in the East float and the chem tanker Borchali is in Alfred basin. Out on the river the tanker Vega Spirit was inbound for Tranmere, the Stolt Kite and Saargas were on their way out. Coming into Birkenhead today were the chem carrier LS Eva and the coaster Ingrid. Weather was crap and thats putting it mildly

A few from a cold River Mersey on 1st Feb

Not much on the move this morning, the Maersk Anglia was outbound from Cammel Lairds, small coaster Amanda was on her way out of Birkenhead docks. The chem tanker EK-River was on her way out from Eastham.
