Queen Victoria leaving Liverpool

The Queen Victoria left the River Mersey tonight, pretty much bang on time. A short fire work display from a barge in the river started things, lots of horns blowing too.

Cunards Queen Victoria at Liverpool 26th July 2010

Well she arrived in the usual Mersey murk! To me she does not look as good as her sister the Queen Mary 2 but then again she is a liner after all and the QV is more of a cruise ship.

She is leaving tonight at 23.00hrs, there will be a short firework display around 15mins before she pulls off the pierhead.

Cunards Queen Victoria to visit Liverpool 26th July 2010

Cunards latest liner, the Queen Victoria is to visit Liverpool this coming Monday, 26th July.

She will be arriving around 08.30hrs and departing around 23.00hrs. Mersey ferries are running extra ferries throughout the day to view the ship, they are also running 2 ferries to go out to New Brighton to "meet and greet" the liner as she enters the River Mersey.

Hopefully the weather will be better than it has been for the past week or so but i not holding my breath.

All quoted times are subject to change or cancellation so dont quote me ;-)
