The VLCC (very large crude carrier) BW Bauhinia will be arriving on the river mersey this coming Friday (16th). She will be the largest gross tonnage vessel to use the river Mersey, she weighs 158569gt and will be carrying over 80.000 tns of crude to Tranmere. She beats the previous largest tonnage vessel "Nisa" by nearly 8000 tons, Nisa came in 1988.
She will be on the River Mersey between 14.00 and 15.00hrs, with no less than 4 tugs assisting.
If you miss her on the friday then you can catch her leaving at around 11.00hrs on Saturday 17th
